Is this blessing the same in all versions?

• Pretty much.
• The differences might be caused by using either the Greet or Hebrew terms.

Why include them so close to the front of the letters?

• It's the style of letter writing of the time.
• It was polite to begin with something good like God's love.

V3-8: Why was Paul thankful for the Colossians?

• Their faith in Christ and love of the saints (church members)

For whom do you thank God? 

• This class.
• Family.

Who do you know who prays for you?

• Mother.
• Parents.
• Class members.

Faith in Christ and love for others are two traits all Christians should display. How do we get or develop them?

• Practice.
• Follow Christ's example.
• By praying.
• Fellowship with believers.
• Reading Scripture/Bible.

Vv5-6 Answer the above. How do you get that hope?  

• A definition of hope in the Old Testament is: Trust and wait expectantly.
• From God.
• Rooted in promises of God's transcendental faith.
• Hope comes from knowing God's promises.
• In my experience, staying close to hopeful people.

What is the true Gospel?

• The Bible is the Word of God.
• Christ.
• John 3:16 + Jesus's resurrection + Jesus' return.
