Easter: April 20, 2025 - A STREAM OF CONSCIOUSNESS PRESENTATION
The photo above was taken this morning while Zoey, my dog, and I were on are early morning 2.+ mile walk. FYI: we walk that much every morning.
"What's this got to do with Easter?" you might be asking.
Look at the parking lot. How many cars to you see? If you saw more than NONE, you need visual assistance.
People who have little to no Christian influence in their lives celebrate Easter with chocolate bunnies and other animals and colored egg hunts. Easter is a day off and a sugar high for many.
I taught high school for 31 years. For this first dozen years or so, we had CHRISTMAS vacation that included CHRISTMAS DAY in December and EASTER vacation in April or May depending when EASTER SUNDAY fell on the calendar. As secular preferences replaced CHRISTIAN calendar days, Winter Breaks and Spring Breaks became the norms.
In the Synoptic Gospels, the Last Supper is a Passover meal and the crucifixion occurs on the Day of Passover itself, Nisan 15. In John, this Last Supper is eaten the evening before and Jesus is crucified on Friday afternoon, but that is the Day of Preparation, Nisan 14. (https://tinyurl.com/dmxudd2c)
That's enough on this topic. I know it was a bit disjointed, and what a listed on the letters said they are all the samebut this much I know:
I celebrate EASTER because Jesus Christ, the Son of God was raised from DEATH three days after.
