Expressions of Faith: Restoration

And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.

(1 Peter 5:10NIV)

Restoration

There is a progression of actions leading to a promise in vv5-10

·      Submit yourself (v5)

·      Humble yourself (v6)

·      Cast your cares on Christ (v7)

·      Be alert and sober (v8)

·      Resist the Devil (v9)

It all leads to v10.

Look at the promise.

Go ahead.

I’ll wait.

God promises restoration from all suffering.

Actually . . .

It sounds like better than restoration.

In the end, we are made “strong, firm and steadfast.”

All through God’s grace.
