Expressions of Faith: Four Reasons

so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,

(Colossians 1:10 NIV)

Four Reasons

Continuing the thought from v9, Paul givers four reasons to live attentively.

1. Your life is a worthy life-the one God has called us to live.

2. You you please God by living that life.

3. So you bear fruit (converts and positive reactions) by doing God's good work.

4. So you grow in knowledge by paying attention to the things of God.

Easy-Peasy. Right?

Only if you ask God to

fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives [v9]
