#BibleStudy Study Questions from James Ch 4 on 08/23/2020
For as many Sundays as needed, my Sunday school class will explore the context and content of the practical content of the Letter from James.
Questions discussed are posted on Monday and a sampling of the discussion of each question is posted the Wednesday of that week. That will continue with minor cosmetic adjustments.
If this is your first experience with my blogs, I invite you to copy and paste the questions into a word.docx and fill in blanks or answer questions before next week. We rarely do more than 6 or 8 questions in a given week.
I hope you'll explore this practical book along with us.
I'll post our answers on Wednesday.
Chapter 4
V11-17
What should we do if we hear someone being slandered in our presence?
Why does James equate slander with judgment against God's Law? How does this illustrate our pride?
If we slander and accuse brothers and sisters in Christ, who are we like?
According to James, is it wrong to plan for the future?
Explain.
If not, which kinds of planning are wrong and which are not?
What is the "right" way to plan for the future?
Does adding "God willing" to our plans automatically bring God's blessing?
What should our attitude be?
How does v17 relate to vv13-16?
How can we sell out to the world without knowing it?
How can we avoid this sell out?
WE GOT THIS FAR THIS WEEK.
