Expressions of Faith: Wounds

“He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”

(1 Peter2:24 NIV)

Wounds

I don't think I can fully appreciate this verse.

Sin separates us from God.

God will not tolerate sin.

But God took my sin with Him on the cross.

“Die to sins and live for righteousness” comes just before Peter describes us as lost sheep in the next verse. 

Hmmm. 

I’ll have to t think about that until next week.
