Expressions of Faith: Alienation

Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior.
(Colossians 1:21 NIV)

Alienation

A farmer and his wife of many years were riding on the bench seat of his vintage pick up truck.
He was driving—as usual. She sat on the other side of the seat and leaned against the passenger door—also her usual position.
“Zeb,” she said.
“Ah, yep?” he replied.
“Why don’t we sit next to one ‘nother no more when we’re going somewheres in this truck o’ yurn?”
Zeb thought for only a heartbeat before he replied.
“I ain’t moved.”

Alienation from God is something many people blame on God.

But, God ain’t moved.

Paul indicates here that alienation is in our minds as a result of our evil behavior.

Even though it's not Gods fault at all, He still provides reconciliation through Christ.
Amazing.
