Until we finish, my Sunday school class is studying Miracles of Jesus on the list below. Next week we start discussing specific miracles of Jesus.

Introduction |
Find at least one place in the New Testament where Jesus refused to do a miracle.
- Jairus Daughter
- Lazarus when he was sick
Mark 6:4-6
4 Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own town, among his relatives and in his own home.” 5 He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them. 6 He was amazed at their lack of faith.
Find seven miracles referred to as “signs” in John.
- We found more than seven miracles in John.
- Water into wine. Ch 2
- Noble man’s son healed in Capernaum. Ch 4
- Healing a paralytic in the Pool of Bethesda. Ch 5
- Feeding the 5000. Ch 5.
- Man’s withered hand. Ch 5.
- Walk on water. Ch 6.
- A blind man healed by washing in a pool. (The question about his blindness was, “who sinned?” – Ch 9)
- Lazarus raised from the dead. Ch 11.
Nicodemus comments to Jesus in John 3: God must be with You.
Is God the only source of miracles? Explain

- God is the only source, but He uses many agents. Apostles when they healed people. Moses’ staff.
- Satan does thing imitating miracles to deceive
What’s the prevailing attitude about miracles in today’s world?
- They are not connected to God.
- All “No” answers are God.
- Miracles are trivialized: Look what I did.
- Things fall into place with God.
- What many call “God things” may/may not be miracles.
How close is that to yours?
Self-assessment.

- The ultimate healing his heaven.
- Humility vs. Ego comes into play.
- Each time God intercedes it’s a miracle.
- Birth is a miracle.
