Blessing

Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.

(1 Peter 3:9 NIV)

The best explanation of how to bless others I've found is this:

A blessing attaches special value to the person

We are called to bless others.

Particularly those doing evil to us.

Hard to do without God's Spirit in us—close to impossible.

Hard even with God’s grace—but doable.

Being blessed in return is promised, but shouldn’t be our goal.

I need to work on this one.
