Study Questions on Acts Ch 6 on 10/14

My Sunday school class/Life Group is studying the book of Acts. Every Monday, I’ll post the questions we discussed the day before. I encourage you to jot your thoughts down.

On Wednesdays, I’ll post some of the comments from the class discussion.

If you’d like a PDF file of the questions, email me at crd.author@gmail.com

Chapter 6

What were the qualifications for service?

What is particularly noteworthy about the description of Stephen?

How were they inaugurated?

Verse 7 mentions a group of converts largely unheard of until now. Who are they? Why do you think they are "suddenly" interested in the Gospel?

V8-15

Why, based only on the limited knowledge we have of Steve so far, is this not surprising?

Who are the people that first oppose Stephen? Why might that be significant?

What was the plan of the opposition?

Synagogue of the Freedmen's strategy includes truth along with lies. One thing said about Stephen was used against Jesus at His trial. What was it? Is it true or false?

We got this far this week.
