Why did Jesus raise Lazarus from the dead?
- Foreshadowing of His life.
- He loved Lazarus.
How do people who don't believe in Christ and the resurrection react when someone they care for dies?

- Reactions are all over the place.
- No hope for eternal life.

- More than the loss of companionship
- The ceremonies have vastly different reactions than at Christian celebrations of life.
How strongly do you believe verses 25 and 26?
- We don't know what happens at the end of a non-believer's life.
- Hope is legitimate.

- Provide hope: Death isn't the end, eternity with God awaits.
- Some people don't want to hear that.
How do you respond to a distraught friend's “I'm having a hard time even believing in God."
What can you say or do when they ask...

- Jesus will always say, "Come to me."

- Free will.
- Time for growth.
- Jesus didn't live an easy life.
- We live in a fallen, sinful world.
- Jesus went through all these things.
