Expressions of Faith: Mercy

Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

(1 Peter2:10 NIV)

Mercy

Today genocide is still an issue as one "people" takes it upon itself to rid society of some "lesser" group.

This has been going on for millennia

What a contrast is seen in this verse.

Through His mercy, God makes us, as Christians His people—completely opposite of genocide.

One of my former pastors, Dr. Dan Copp preached about the upside down kingdom. Mercy is an example how God's ideas differ from Satan's.

Final thought: how fortunate are we to have received God's mercy!
