Expressions of Faith: Stumbling

7 Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe, “The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,” 8 and, “A stone that causes people to stumble and a rock that makes them fall.” They stumble because they disobey the message—which is also what they were destined for.

(1 Peter 2:4-7 NIV)

Stumbling

Belief and its corollary obedience are critical in determining the quality of this stone and its use.

For believers/oberyers the stone, Christ, is the cornerstone upon which we build our faithful lives.

Disobedience undermines belief.

To those who disobey, the stone is just another rock—a rock that makes them stumble and fall.

Believe, obey and watch where you walk!
