Expressions of Faith: Do Good

For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people.

1 Peter 2:15 NIV

Do Good

Interesting verse.

Doing good is usually associated with charity, good will, and compassion.

Here Peter says that we can eliminate the impact of foolish talkers by doing good.

Could it be that this is the origin of "actions speak louder than words"?
