Dissecting the Miracle
What stands out about Jesus in this miracle?
- Jesus sent the disciples before he left instead of leaving with them.
- He wanted to be alone.
- (Mark 6:48) He intended to pass their boat before Peter called out.
- He was defying the laws of physics.

What would you say to a friend who refused to believe either Jesus on Peter walked on water?
- It’s recorded in the Bible in more than one place.

- It’s a teaching moment on truth vs. parables.
- Peter is a model for our lives.
- Why is this recorded where it is in the Bible? What’s it telling us?
