#Bible Expressions of Faith. Power. Colossians 1:11

This is a placeholder post. It's good stuff, so keep reading.
This week in Sunday school, we spent significant time on our prayer list and reports of answers to prayer. We did not discuss Romans at all. What follows is a "bonus" Expressions of Faith from Colossians.

Wednesday: In lieu of discussion of questions, I'm presenting a unique approach to your devotional life and Bible study.

Power
being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience,
Colossians 1:11
Power is a double-edged sword.
Unfortunately, even once Christian leaders can be corrupted by power.
  • Too much power can fry electronics and corrupt leaders.
  • Not enough power makes people angry and often leads to conflict. No power makes everything stop-electronics, cars, bodies, brains.

God promises all power to Christians so we can endure patiently as long as needed.

This is power that
  • is never too much of too little.
  • never runs out.
  • is customized for you each time it’s needed.

Think about that.
God provides the power you need to endure and have patience.

It is possible to live a life without either of those traits.
  • Your life will be a series of complaints and frustrations.

It is not possible to live a victorious life without them.
  • Your life will be one of service and love.

What's your choice?
  1. Powerless, complaining, frustrated, anxious, and unhappy?
  2. With all the power you need when you need it without any of those negative traits?

Ask God to help you to accept this power instead of struggling on alone.
