Expressions of Faith. Hebrews Ch 6. Grow Up
Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, instruction about cleansing rites, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. And God permitting, we will do so.

Grow Up
If you’re like me, you have fond memories of your childhood.
Backyard baseball and football | Catching crawdads |
Neighborhood gatherings | Fish sticks and tater tots |
Church picnics | Creamed tuna and creamed peas |
Friends and teachers at Spring Valley Elementary School | |
I love the memories.
But . . .
I’m glad I’m not a 10-year-old anymore.
Imagine trying to fit my 215-pound body into a 3rd-grade armchair desk.
More importantly than the size of a desk,
imagine trying to be challenged by year after year of the same elementary school curriculum.
That’s what we are cautioned against in this passage.
So, check your spiritual curriculum.
Isn’t it time to leave the elementary teachings behind?
