#BibleLesson. Timeless Truths – Moving in Missions
41-42 That day about three thousand took him at his word, were baptized and were signed up. They committed themselves to the teaching of the apostles, the life together, the common meal, and the prayers.

43-45 Everyone around was in awe—all those wonders and signs done through the apostles! And all the believers lived in a wonderful harmony, holding everything in common. They sold whatever they owned and pooled their resources so that each person’s need was met.
46-47 They followed a daily discipline of worship in the Temple followed by meals at home, every meal a celebration, exuberant and joyful, as they praised God. People in general liked what they saw. Every day their number grew as God added those who were saved.
Acts 2:24-27 (MSG)
God's spirit filled the disciples and changed them into a force for change.
- God's spirit is the same today and lives in believers giving you the power to be the church you are called to be.
- 3000 new believers from Peter's sermon became the church.
When people experience the freedom and love of Christ, they begin to
- publicly follow Jesus
- serve others
- contribute to community.
People want meaning and purpose. Humans are wired like that.
If people don't find God, they settle for what the world defines as community.
- When you join the Kingdom, it moves with you.
- You are the plan to build the church.
No matter where people are in life, Jesus is there.
- His grace is drawing people to himself.
Jesus loves everyone as much as he loves you as much as he loves anyone.
- You are called to point people to Jesus.
Being the church is more than meeting once a week.
- Seek God's Kingdom take it with you.
- Serve communities/cities especially those you don't think deserve it.
- Reach. Invite people and bring them into the community.
You should want people to be part of the Kingdom.
- When you get a heart for people, you become the hands and feet of Jesus.
It's only possible through the Holy Spirit.
