Expressions of Faith. Hebrews Ch 4. No Value?

Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it. For we also have had the good news proclaimed to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because they did not share the faith of those who obeyed. Now we who have believed enter that rest, just as God has said, “So I declared on oath in my anger, ‘They shall never enter my rest.’ ”And yet his works have been finished since the creation of the world.

 Hebrews 4:1-3

No Value?

I was walking in downtown San Diego one morning when I found what looked like a diamond on the pavement.

     ·      It was BIG and bright.

     ·      We had it appraised.

     ·      It wasn’t a diamond at all, just a “good quality” cubic zirconium of little value. compared to its naturally formed counterpart.

God’s rest—salvation here and heaven later—is valuable.

Not in money, but in eternal life that starts as soon as you accept Christ’s salvation.

That life lasts for . . .

wait for it . . .

eternity.

Unless . . .

we completely devalue this PRICELESS gift through our lack of faith.

Don’t miss God’s rest.
