Expressions of Faith: Hebrews Ch 3. A House of Christ

“Moses was faithful as a servant in all God’s house,” bearing witness to what would be spoken by God in the future. But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory.

 Hebrews 3:5-6

A House of Christ

There are few individuals in the Bible who surpass Moses for faith.

As the first High Priest of the Tabernacle, he was faithful as a servant in that House of God.

Christ is faithful in His service OVER the Houses of God.

We are his [God’s] house[s] v6a

Two caveats to being a House of Christ.

1. We must be servants of God.
2. we hold fast to our confidence and the boast of our hope. V6b [NASB]
   
   
   
   

 God, grant us courage and hope to boast of for Christ.
