Expressions of Faith. Colossians Ch 1. Knowledge

For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,

(Colossians 1:9 NIV)

Knowledge

In the second part of verse 9, Paul describes how we can become knowledgeable of God's will.

The Holy Spirit provides

• Wisdom—to know something is both valuable and from God
• Understanding—knowing not only the what but also the importance of what comes from God.

It is up to us to be attentive to the Spirit!

God, open my heart and mind to the prompting of your Holy Spirit.
