Expressions of Faith. Colossians Ch 1. Hearing
In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world—just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God’s grace.
(Colossians 1:6 NIV)
Hearing
Paul reminds the Colossians that the same Gospel they heard and believed is bearing fruit around the world.
Significantly, fruit and understanding come afterhearing and believing.
Today, there are groups of Christ’s disciples are taking the Gospel to diverse places around the world. Their purpose is to ensure more people hear so they can understand.
The Jesus Film Ministry is an example of this work. As of January 2018, nearly 8 billion people have seen/heard the Gospel via this platform. Over 530 million people have accepted Christ through this ministry since 1979
God, bless the feet of those who bring the good news and their ministry.
